Risk assessment for children involved in separation
To help you understand whether yours is a high-risk or high-protective situation for your children, we offer tests for each risk factor and then provide you with a profile.
Don't worry too much if some areas are high risk, the important thing is to be aware of it and implement all the strategies to change things for the better. This is also why we are ready to give you a hand.

Social isolation

Exclusion and devaluation of the other parent
The exclusion or devaluation of one parent by the other is a highly risky element for the development of children who have the right to maintain positive emotional relationships with both parents.
It is necessary for both parents to legitimize the other in his or her role as father or mother by encouraging their contact with him or her and avoiding speaking badly of them.
Lack of family communication and educational coherence
During separation, parents' educational choices may be inconsistent with each other or poorly tuned to the needs of the child. Furthermore, the lack of communication between parents is often so pervasive that it makes it impossible for their own educational choices to be consistent with those of the other parent. In these cases, separation becomes for children the moment in which they lose a safe guide, a stable and sensitive educational reference.

Personal difficulties of the parent
The presence of this indicator determines the adult's inability to offer adequate parental care, making the parent less responsive to the suffering of their children. Parental problems may refer to personal difficulties, previous psychological disorders, substance abuse and all those parental problems that make them, completely or partially, incapable of recognizing the needs of their child.
Economic problems
When the conflict extends to the economic sphere, children may have the feeling that the family's economic situation has changed drastically and may overestimate the parent's concern. Money represents concrete security and economic conflict may induce children to feel that this too has been undermined.

Affidamento e collocamento figli
